Not every location is automatically cleared for drone photography. Especially in urban areas or near airports (like Vienna Schwechat), strict rules often apply. Whether permits are required depends on the exact location and the type of recording.

How much do commercial drone services cost in Austria?
Our prices are modular and transparent: A short deployment (approx. 1 hour on-site, e.g., for real estate) starts at €235. Half-day productions start at €590. Additionally, depending on your wishes, there are costs for video editing or image processing. We are happy to create a non-binding offer.
All prices excl. 20% VAT.

Where can you fly drones – do I need a permit in Vienna?
We fly throughout Austria and Europe, including Vienna and residential areas. Although Vienna is largely a restricted flight zone, as a registered operator with Austro Control, we take care of all necessary clearances and fly legally in the "Open" category (or "Specific" if needed).

The Best Part:
For many projects, we can even fly permit-free in Vienna using special equipment, saving you up to €1,200 in permit costs and waiting times. We completely handle the check of no-fly zones and airspace clearances. You as the client bear no legal risk.

Do you also offer drone photos for real estate?
Absolutely.
We create high-resolution aerial photos for exposés that perfectly show the location and plot. Additionally, we offer 360° panoramas and video tours to give interested parties an interactive overview.

Do you also film on the ground (Hybrid Production)?
Yes.
That is our big advantage: We come not only with the drone but also with professional ground equipment (cameras, gimbals, lights). You receive the complete film (Aerial & Ground) from a single source without having to book a second team.

How does the booking process work?
Quite simply:
  1. You send us the address and your wishes.
  2. We check the feasibility (flight zone) for free.
  3. We arrange an appointment (weather-dependent).
  4. You receive the data via download link often within 24 hours.

What happens if the weather is bad?
If flight-relevant weather (e.g., strong wind/rain) is forecast, an alternative date is arranged to ensure quality.
For tight deadlines, a ground-based setup can be discussed as Plan B.

How quickly do I get the results (Raw Data vs. Edit)?
For pure "Recording" jobs, you often receive the raw data (4K, Log) within 24–48 hours via download link. Fully edited image films take approx. 1–2 weeks depending on the effort. We offer express services for social media.

Do you also offer drone surveying or thermography?
Yes,
but in a specialized area. For technical applications (3D models, orthomosaics, inspections), please visit our industrial area at Industrial.DroneRecords. There you will find engineering services for construction and industry.

Are the flights insured and approved?
Absolutely.
Every flight is insured for liability within the framework of statutory regulations. We take care of the entire operational safety and compliance with the EU Drone Regulation. You as the client bear no risk.
